The Tablet in the Kitchen to look up recipes just got an upgrade

Amazon just launched the Echo Show:

This new addition to the Echo Lineup could mean one very important feature for my Kitchen: I can remove my old First Generation iPad and upgrade to voice-enabled recipes.

This makes sense for Amazon as it's trying to get into the Video Call replacement space, but it also explains why Amazon has been pushing the "Rich Cards" features of Echo Skills, and Lex.

Time will tell, but by June 28th we'll get our first look at what could possibly be the new favorite kitchen assistant (the Echo is my current favorite kitchen assistant, so why wouldn't adding a screen make it even better?).

Here come the Recipe skills!
